Title: Foreign donations to Congress(I) party (letter to Editor)

Sir: On close scrutiny of the alleged donors, Decor Trading Ltd, Diera
Trading Ltd and Dominion Trading Ltd, who have reportedly sent the
donations of Rs 3.75 crore in foreign exchange to the Congress (1) party
during the rule of Narasimha Rao, one may find that all the three donors
are three-word companies with "Trading Ltd" common in second and third word
while the first letter "D" is common in the first word which suggests that
all the three companies are possibly belonging to the same owner who could
not find other name like "company or corporation or import-export added to
the company name.

Also, it seems the owners are quite affluent to pay such heavy donation
while residing abroad to the Congress (I) party without any favour from it
in India or who knows they might have been favoured in India unless the
party tells the court who are hiding behind the mask since no one gives a
rupee even to a person without any cause.

Finally, are the donors doing business in those countries or merely holding
bank accounts there'? Will the party provide the Articles of Association
and Memorandum copies with latest copies of the annual returns filed by the
companies with the Registrar of Companies or get the. certified copies of
the shareholders (promoters) holding the majority shares and copies of
their balance sheets since' these donors must have declared these returns
to the income tax authorities or Company's Registrar. If the party is
unable to identify the donors, the donated money be forefeited and heavy
fines be levied under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
