London-based human rights
group Amnesty International has expressed concern at the recurring anti-Christian
attacks in India, which it said, was the result of incitement by right-wing
Hindu political groups.
"Right-wing Hindu political
groups and associations have failed to clearly denounce acts of violence
and have made public statements which might have incited individuals to
violence," Emma Blower, an official of Amnesty's South Asia Team, said
in a letter to Bangiya Christiya Pariseba, an apex body of Christians in
West Bengal.
Stating that her organisation
had written to the Centre and state governments urging them to take steps
in preventing further violence, she said, "We believe all incidents of
violence should be impartially investigated and those found responsible
brought to justice according to law."
Stating that Amnesty
was concerned at the continuing reports of attacks on members of the Christian
community, she said, "We will continue to raise concern with the authorities
as appropriate."

Note:
"One really has to question
the impartiality of this organisation that calls itslef Amnesty International.
It has been more than clearly established that the 'attacks' on Christians
are fictional, or non-communal, or due to deep provocation, or by mischief
makers who are out to destablise India. We think that this organisation
should get real. Such so-called concern also establishes that the
Christian groups are still up to their mischief of calumnising the Hindus
and in the process also calumnising the country that they claim to be the
citizens of.
It would be of real interest
to find out what Amnesty International has to say about the situation vis-a-vis
Christians in countries like Sudan and Nigeria. It would also be
of interest to find out what Amnesty International has to say about the
massacre of Hindus in Kashmir."
