Sri Ramjanmabhoomi Trust Chalrpun
Paramhans Ramchandra Das said the trust would whole-heartedly welcome initiatives
from any organisation or community in favour of the construction of the
Ram temple at Ayodhya.
Reacting to reports of offer made
by certain Hindu and Muslims religious bodies for temple .construction
at the disputed site, s yesterday said he was ready, welcome and felicitate
anybody, irrespective of the caste and community. who came forth with specific
plans and declaration for temple construction. Anybody including . Swami
Dharma Das, Swaroopanand or Ravishanker was --welcome to solve the issue,
he added.
'It is not important as to who constructs
the Ram temple. I only want to see the temple coming up , per the dreams
of religious leads and crores of Hindus."
However, he said the trust could
not want any bloodshed to take place in the construction of the temple.
Das, however, added that the people,
who have recently come to e forefront in the Ayodhya issue, actually have
no specific plan or proposal for temple construction. They are only concerned
about stalling the plans of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in the Mandir
movement.
"The Ayodhya issue was related the
faith and belief of crores of .Hindus and was not a simple Mandir-Masjid
dispute."
He said several thousands of Hindu
temples were demolished Muslim invaders in the past but barring three sacred
places of Ram janmabhoomi, Krishna Janmabhoomi and Kanshi Vishwanath, the
VHP or his trust had never staked any claim for the demolished religious
places.
About the statement of a Babri Masjid
Action Committee official about the possibility of an early resumption
of dialogue between the two communities, Das said any dialogue in favour
of the Ram temple was welcome and there could be no compromise over its
location. The trust would not allow reconstruction of a mosque within 14
miles of the 'parikrima' area in Ayodhya.
To a question, the swami refused
to divulge the agenda of the Kendriya Margdarshak Mandal (central advisory
board) meeting of the VHP, proposed to be held in Lucknow on September
28 or about the probable date for the construction of the temple.
