The Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police and the Central intelligence agencies unravelled an ISI plot to recruit fanatic Muslim boys from Uttar Pradesh for terror acts in various European countries.

Director General of Police Radehy Mohan Shukla said that the plot had come to light after hearing taped audio conversations between the Bangladeshi ISI agent Mamnur Rashid and his Indian conduit Zafar Naim.

Naim, it is learnt, is an advocate by profession and belongs to Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. He was arrested along with Rashid yesterday.

Interestingly, he had sometime ago contested in Assembly election on Rashtriya Janata Dal's ticket.

As revealed from their taped audio conversations, the two are on the payrolls of the ISI and were constantly seeking directives from across the border from Faiyyaz and Alam at the Pakistan Consulate General in Dhaka.

While Fayaz is a listed Pakistani intelligence officer, Alam owns Mac Industries and is said to be providing funds for recruitment of fanatic young Muslim boys from Uttar Pradesh who could be sent for terrorist activities in European countries.

Intelligence sources revealed that Mamnur had also spoken to another officer of the Pakistani diplomatic office in Ukaraine about preparing Muslim youths there for deployment to India.

Sources confirmed that the ISI had drafted a plot to procure Indian passports and send foreigners including, Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, Ukaranians and Indonesians to France and United Kingdom to execute terrorist plots.
