Introduction: Ram Pradhan says his report on 26/11 police action has it all

Retired bureaucrat Ram Pradhan, who probed lapses of the Mumbai police during 26/11, has said the truth about who did what during the terror attack will come out when his report is made public one day.

"The report has to come in the assembly one day. Then only the truth will come out," Pradhan told Hindustan Times on Thursday.

"This minister is talking, that minister is talking…this officer is talking, that officer is talking…I cannot respond to those. Whatever they have said or done is all there in the report."

"I don't want to comment on anybody's remarks or comments. Anyway, I have not seen or read the book as yet," Pradhan said when asked about the allegations made by Vinita Kamte, widow of slain Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Kamte, in her book, To The Last Bullet.

Mrs Kamte has alleged that the police control room did not respond in time and send reinforcements where her husband and others were fighting the terrorists.

The Vilasrao Deshmukh government had appointed the two-member committee comprising Pradhan, a former Union home minister, and former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) official V. Balachandran to probe the alleged lapses in the response of the Mumbai police during the attack.

The committee had interviewed several policemen, survivors and independent eyewitnesses, apart from visiting the attack sites.

It submitted its 100-page report in June and the government had rejected many of the findings in its action taken report (ATR), tabled during the monsoon session of the assembly.

However, the government decided not to table the full report.
