Medical examination of the children rescued from an illegal children home at Jaipur, Rajasthan has confirmed all the girls aged between 9 and 20 years have been raped or sexually exploited as the hymen of 13 girls were found ruptured.

An independent investigation conducted by The Sangai Express has brought to light that 20 rescued children were examined at Ukhrul District Hospital on April 25, April 29 and April 30 by a panel of doctors led by the hospital’s Medical Superintendent.

A copy of the medical report which is in the possession of The Sangai Express says that 13 girls had their hymen ruptured and were suffering from Leucorrhoea (Early signs of pregnancy). No signs of sexual exploitation could be seen on the six boys.

Jacob John s/o KK John from Malviya Nagar, Jaipur , the main accused in the child trafficking and sexual exploitation case is currently lodged in Sajiwa Jail awaiting trial.

Jacob John was arrested by Nagaland Police from Jaipur on May 2, 2013 in connection with child trafficking cases. He was again arrested by Manipur Police from Dimapur Jail on June 13.

According to a reliable source, Jacob John first visited Ukhrul in 1997 when he was working as a Pastor in Grace Fellowship, Jaipur. He also preached at Tuinem Baptist Church and Nepali Baptist Church, Ukhrul.

He set up a children home under the name Father Grace Home in 1999 for which staff/teachers were recruited from UP, Bombay and Ukhrul.

Apart from staff/teachers hailing from Manipur, many children from the State were also put up at Jacob’s children home. In 2005, Jacob raped a woman staff of his children home.

After that, he cajoled and threatened her into submission leading to a sexual relationship. Their sexual relationship was terminated when the woman got pregnant and she was sent back to her village at Ukhrul.

All these while, Jacob John had a wife.

Again, Jacob raped another woman staff of his illegal children home in 2006. Like in the first case, the woman belonging to Ukhrul district, Manipur was forced to submit to the carnal desires of Jacob for the next two years until she left the home in 2008. It was in 2008 that Jacob divorced his wife Anna.

It is learnt that Jacob was running two children homes, one for boys and the other for girls.

While he engaged another teacher for the boys’ home, he stayed and taught in the girls’ home. The two homes are separated by a distance of 5 Kms.

He ordered the girls that one of them should serve him food everyday on rotational basis. Thus, he molested and sexually exploited the minor girls one by one on rotation. The girls kept in the Grace Home were never allowed to venture out and the house was kept locked 24 hours, said the source.

Jacob also prescribed a number of medicines to the girls including ZIFI-100 tablets to arouse sexual desires in the minor girls. But he never gave any wholesome or good food to the girls and the boys.

For seven years (2005-2012), Jacob John sexually exploited a number of staff and girls virtually imprisoned in his illegal children home. He used to thrash the girls with binding wire when they refused to submit to his sexual advances but he hardly visited the boys’ home.

Given that most of the staff and children belong to Ukhrul district and a few others to Chandel district while some others belong to Jalukie, Nagaland, the Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (TMNL) is set to launch a poster campaign in Ukhrul against child trafficking.
