Kashmir Reader, an online news portal, reports “CRPF vehicle hits two youths at Nowhatta protest, both critically injured”.

The news portal goes on further to report this incident in detail, “On the third Friday of Ramazan, two youths were critically injured after being hit by a CRPF vehicle during protests in Nowhatta, after congregational prayers were offered in the historic Jamia Masjid. After the Mirwaiz completing his Friday sermon, youths took out a protest march, witnesses said. When they reached Nowhatta Chowk, they raised pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans and demanded the release of Kashmiri political prisoners. As the protest was going on, a CRPF vehicle hit two youths who were part of the protest, witnesses said.”

Clearly from the way this incident has been described by Kashmir Reader, it can be assumed that the youths were on a peaceful protest during the month of Ramazan, and out of nowhere, a CRPF vehicle attacked the youths thereby with a clear intent to wound them.

Bilal Bhat, Consulting Editor at Kashmir Reader, continues to pain the same picture on twitter. He had tweeted a picture where a youth was found under wheels of a CRPF jeep. This picture where a protester is being run over by the CRPF jeep, will probably make us blame the security forces of Jammu & Kashmir for taking such a violent stand against these innocent Kashmiri youths.

Unfortunately this is not the complete picture. Aditya Raj Kaul, Associate Editor with the Republic TV, had posted a video which clearly captures what happened during the protest at Nowhatta in Srinagar, Kashmir.

Aditya Raj Kaul @AdityaRajKaul
Look at how a mob of stone pelters today targeted a @crpf_srinagar vehicle at Nowhatta in Srinagar, Kashmir. Just imagine what could have happened if they would’ve been able to open the gypsy doors. No Kashmir media outlets will show this truth as it doesn’t suit the propaganda.

This protest, as earlier projected by the Kashmir Reader, was no where found to be peaceful. In fact there is a clear intent by this angry and raging mob to kill the security personnel inside the CRPF jeep at Nowhatta. This is not the first instance but several such raging mobs, especially after Friday prayers, had attacked our security personnel with an intent to kill or inflict injury.

Not just Adtiya Raj Kaul but the Office twitter handle of Jammu and Kashmir Police had exposed the editor of Kashmir Reader too.

In-spite of providing proof to the public by Jammu & Kashmir Police, the reporter tries to feign ignorance and continues to blame the administration.

Replying to @JmuKmrPolice @gowhargeelani
There is a difference between a state institution and crowd. The former has a chain of command while the latter is to be controlled by making use of prescribed SOP. One who can't follow the norm is like one among the crowd. So make a difference.

J&K Police @JmuKmrPolice
There is also a difference in presenting before the audience/readers/followers  'a selective picture' and not a 'chain of pictures presenting the whole scene'.We appreciate your understanding of our mechanism, however, fail to understand why one forgets his/her own SOPs.Thanks

But the official twitter handle of Jammu & Kashmir Police had given a befitting reply to the editor. Not just these editors but several individuals who pose themselves to be a Kashmiri Social Activist, have raised this issue presenting a one side picture.

Shameful! Running people over seems to be the latest anti-insurgency measure in J&K. This will certainly win hearts. https://twitter.com/bukharishujaat/status/1002551255829446662 …

This, then, is the latest Standard Operating Procedure in Kashmir? Police and paramilitary will just run civilians over with their vehicles, crush them under wheels, and call it an 'accident'? https://twitter.com/ahmermkhan/status/1002538101326188558 …

Shehla Rashid is rather famous for such presenting such one sided stories in twitter and her recent deleted tweet on a story against Major Gogoi is a typical example. Clearly, the intention of these twitter personalities is to glorify terror elements in the state of Jammu & Kashmir and create instability in the minds of the Kashmiri youths.
