While Lutyens’ Delhi Frets Over ‘Trolls’, Political Murders Continue Unabated in WB & Kerala

Lutyens’ Delhi and English MSM have been all agog over the recent episode involving External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj being ‘trolled’ by social media commentators who raised some valid questions about the Sadia Anas (aka Tanvi Seth) passport issue. As is their wont, our elites have again managed to make themselves the victims and paint the common citizen as an uncouth lout for daring to ask some probing questions.

And while this drama over ‘trolling’ is going on, the real danger to public life , i.e. lawlessness in ‘secular’ territories of West Bengal and Kerala, continues unabated.

In West Bengal, yet another BJP worker was murdered. The body of Dhormo Hazra, a 54-year-old Dalit, was found floating in a lake in Murshidabad district on Monday with his hands and feet tied with a rope.

Another BJP worker murdered in Mamata's 'secular' State West Bengal!!!
A Dalit man Dhormo Hazra, who had been working as BJP's ground level activist, was killed by TMC goons at Taldangar village under Saktipur PS of Murshidabad district.

................................................................................

This murder comes a month after bodies of BJP workers Trilochan Mahato (20) and Dulal Kumar (30) were found hanging in two villages of Purulia on May 31 and June 2. With even Union Home Ministry failing to check her terror, Mamata is going after BJP and Hindu organizations like Bajrang Dal with a vengeance.

The macabre mayhem unleashed over the last 2 months by ruling TMC goons during the farcical Panchayat election process has left more than 20 BJP workers and leaders dead – after passing the buck to the hapless State Election Commission, the SC finally admitted yesterday that panchayat-level democracy is not working in the state. If even 10% of the violence seen in Bengal during these Panchayat elections had occurred in a state like Gujarat, it is highly probable that courts would have taken instant suo motu notice and ordered central intervention. But crimes in ‘secular’ states somehow just don’t elicit the same urgent response from our democratic institutions.

Meanwhile in Kerala, a tribal student activist of CPI(M)’s student wing, SFI, was brutally killed by workers of Campus Front, the student wing of Islamist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI), in Kochi’s . Abhimanyu (20), a BSc Chemistry student, was killed when SFI and Campus Front of India workers clashed inside the campus on Sunday after an argument over sticking posters. Another student of the college, 19-year-old Arjun who studies BSc Philosophy, also sustained severe injuries.

It is noteworthy that despite several PFI activists being arrested for terror plots and links to Islamic State, the ruling CPM continues to go soft on this dangerous terror organisation for votebank politics and to burnish its ‘secular’ credentials. But it seems that PFI has mastered the art of playing both ‘secular’ sides – there are reports of a Congress-Indian Union Muslim League-SDPI (political arm of PFI) tie up to defeat BJP in elections.

So while people are being killed for their political choices in ‘secular’ havens of Kerala and West Bengal, our elites would rather discuss the threat of ‘evil trolls’. In reality, most of those dismissively branded as trolls are articulate individuals posing the first serious challenge to the intellectual hegemony enjoyed by these rootless Lutyens’ wonders since their patron Jawaharlal Nehru anointed them as independent Bharat’s creme de la creme.
