How many of you who follow, have seen classmate getting kicked on face, on pebbled road, by boys wearing boots in India.

We have.

Nightmare of that day haunts. We were a bunch of Hindu's who were holding on to a curse, of being Hindu, which our parents chose & became refugees.

How many heard, "Killing You", should be first priority rather than a Snake, when one came across a Snake & You at the same time.

We have.

What was our fault? Fault of being Hindu Refugee in India & it was our parents, responsible for that fault, for they chose to remain Hindu.

How many of you went to College & when got late, saw your mother worried, standing on the stairs of the Verandah, waiting for your return. Worried if you would return alright or after being beaten up & bleeding.

We have.

For no fault of ours but our parents, who didn't convert.

Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
How many of you were made to feel at every step, an inferior human being with no right to live freely. You were worshipping inferior Gods & Goddesses, infact you were devil worshipping cult.

We have.

For no fault of ours but our parents, who chose to become refugee in India.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
How many of you, didn't have the freedom to worship your God and only celebration for which a Bengali Hindu lives and saves daily of their life, Durga Puja.

We have.

For no fault of ours but our refugee parents, who didn't have enough money to take us to safer places & live.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
How many of you every now and then cleared loads of paper leaflets from your letter box, which had information on "Good News".

We have.

For we were souls which needed to be rescued. Were poor Bengali refugees, who once rescued were told elite education awaits. But we didn't.

How many of you saw your neighborhood, bright & full of life friend, after taking admission in an institute, went calm. Returned home & hid face with shawl, because his face was all swollen & red, due to daily beating he got.

We have.

Fault, he was son of a poor Hindu Bengali.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
Yes, his cheeks used to be swollen, like he had mumps.

His mother used to heat up old clothes on coal fire, and give him heat fermentation on back which had marks like ones sees in movies. Again go back to face the same torture the next day.

It went on for all 1st year.

How many of you know of stories where, because two friends, didn't know the finer nuances of dialect, while counting 1,2,3 were pulled out of the vehicle they were traveling in & lynched.

We have.

Reason was, yes, you got the answer right, reason we were Hindu Bengali Refugees.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
How many of you slept in fear, wearing sneakers, with packed steel trunk, mother in her little better sari & before switching off the lights, she declared to, be ready to be refugee again.

We did.

Reason, our so called refugee "Ghetto" was under threat of attack that night.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
How many of you served tea to CRPF during curfew hours for they were protectors.

How many saw Army Flag March & got to know terror training camp has been found inside the jungle behind Quarter, where you lived & dismantled by Army.

We did.

And we were pawns for secessionist.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
How many of you left the land where you were born & brought up, never wanting to return as most you grew up with has left. It's one wave after another wave of people leaving. Living there is full of insecurity & hollow feeling.

We have.

For no land belongs to us like natives.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
How many of you here today see the ones whose kind tortured, insulted, abused, physically harmed you, made you feel an insect, is virtue signalling, pretending victim, getting special treatment & faking history.

We do see.

Well, we lived to tell our story. We were left alive.

Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
We remained Hindu - Thanks to Bharat Sevashram Sangha.

We remained Hindu - Thanks to close bonding between Refugee Hindu Bengalis.

We remained Hindu - Thanks to our parents for they didn't convert.

We survived - Thanks to CRPF & Indian Army.

We Survived - Thanks to Maa Durga.

Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
What we had, nothing. Not even basic "Human Respect" was granted to us. We were for Martial Arts practice - could kick us, punch us, bleed us, beat us was game. Then while walking past, you would hear catcalls & then came the dirty foreigner jibe.

Freedom was not our right.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
In markets, poor vegetable vendors were at receiving end.

Pickup vegetable, don't pay money and if vendor dared to ask for money, well that was his last day in the market or if he fell on feet of the tormentor & begged mercy he would  be seen the next day.

All freezed in fear.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
Everything freezed. Time freezed, respect freezed, human inside came to a stop, no one dared to raise voice or stop & who didn't care, for them Bengali Hindu was a game & a sub-human.

It was said, Dao (Sword) if pulled out, it needed blood & only then it could be pulled back.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
As events unfolded, a silent boy was observing. Sometime standing by side of his father, at other by mother, with friends & at times alone.

Where were THE Hindu Organizations then. None were to be seen anywhere.

Think CAA, was in a way, saying sorry to us, Refugee Hindus.

End.
..................................................................................................
Arunudoy ভট্টাচার্য @ArunudoyB
Why did I write this?

Wrote it as was fed up of virtue signalling by the hunters who hunted us down. Fed up at, even after living on central funds, with protection, no taxes, getting all benefits crying as endangered.

Till a lion tells his story, people will glorify the hunter.
