A symposium organised by the Students Islamic Movement of
India on Sunday called for establishment of Khilafat, a
world government on the basis of moral principles laid
down in the Quran and Sunnah.

The symposium held at the Haj House here, was organised
as a prelude to a nation-wide Khilafat campaign to be
launched by the Sim from November 28. The campaign will
conclude on December 8. Roresentatives of Islamic organi-
sation from Palestine, Iran and Burma attended the sym-
posium.

Delivering the Keynote address, the organiser of the
Khilafat campaign. Mr Mohammed Adil Khot, urged Muslims
world-wide to strive for establishment of Khilafat as
without it, Islamic was incomplete. Under Khilafat, all
human beings would have to obey the commandments of the
almighty.

He decried the evils of nationalism which had manifested
in world wars, break-up of Islamic Khilafat, massacre of
innocent people in Bosnia and Chechnya and attacks on
holy places like A1 Aqsa mosque.

Presiding over the symposium, maulana Mujibullah Nadvi,
director of Jamia-ur-rashad from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh,
observed that nationalism gave rise to fascism on the
basis of caste, colour, race and nationality.

He added that nationalism became a rallying point for
justifying the exploitation of the weak nations by the
stronger countries.

Sim president Abdul Bar Asri, noted that Islam was a
force to unite mankind irrespective of all difference and
therefore, preached universal brotherhood.
