Lord Ganesh on Indonesian currency note

Believe it or not, Indonesia, a country having majority Muslim population, features Lord Ganesh on its currency notes - the Rupiah.

This information was given to reporters by Petroleum Minister Ram Naik who has just returned from a visit to Jakarta.

Naik said he was surprised to find "Ganesh" on the Rupiah 20,000 note, which is equivalent to Rs 100 in India and has brought the same as a "souvenir".
