Decapitated bodies of two labourers
from Bihar were found from Khalhar Kokernag village in south Kashmir while
elsewhere in the state three persons, including two militants, were killed
and five ultras nabbed overnight.
Official sources said bodies of
two labourers from Bihar were found from the village in Anantnag district
late last night.
The police had registered a case.
The security forces and the special
operation group of the Jammu and Kashmir police killed two militants during
a search operation at Sarooti Mendhar village in Poonch district of the
Jammu region today.
Two AK rifles, six magazines, a
grenade and a pouch were seized from them.
The police found the bullet-ridden
body of an unidentified Sikh from Kreshipora in the central Kashmir district
of Badgam this morning.
A girl, Masooda, was injured in
a bomb blast at Khundroo woods in south Kashmir last evening.
Meanwhile, five militants belonging
to different outfits, including the Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammad, were
arrested along with a pistol, eight detonators, 10 grenades and 55 rounds
across the valley during overnight operations.
JAMMU: Two civilians, including
a woman, were injured in firing by Pakistani troops in the R. S. Pura and
Noushera sectors of Jammu division on Sunday, official sources said.
Pakistani troops resorted to small
arms firing from across the international border near Devigarh village
in the R. S. Pura sector since last night.
One woman, identified as Manjeet
Kaur, sustained bullet wounds in the firing in the wee hours and was shifted
to Government Medical College Hospital here, they said.
In another incident, Parshotam Lal
was injured in the firing from across the Line of Control by the Pakistani
troops at Mukeri village in the Noushera sector of Rajouri district, the
sources said.
Intermittent firing between the
two sides took place along the international border and the LoC at various
places in Kathua, Jammu and Rajouri districts since Saturday evening. UNI,
PTI
