"The vicious and perverted defamation
of Gujarati Hindus, who were the victims of Godhra train burning, and hypocritical
indignation of those leaders who expressed shame for the post Godhra violence
are responsible for triggering the attack on Akhshardham and the carnage
that followed. But for the secularist media and cowardly political leaders,
the jihadi forces would not have felt encouraged to attack Akshardham",
said Dr Pravin Togadia of the VHP.
Hindus will not take such carnages
lying down by turning the other cheek. The perpetrators of such a crime
as well as the political forces that protect them will face Hindu retribution,
he said.
The VHP leader dubbed the Godhra
attack and the latest one on Akshardham centuries old cultural struggle
between the forces of construction and forces of destruction, between those
who built the Bamyan Buddhas, the aeroplane and the World Trade Center
and those who wrought destruction on them or through them. The non-stop
cacophony of jehadi warcries goes on, escalating more destructive acts,
said Dr Togadia.
Forgetting Godhra and condemning
the post-Godhra violence is like criticising Lord Hanuman's Lanka Dahan
but forgetting all about Ravan's Sita Haran, said the VHP leader. Without
Sita Haran there would have been no Lanka Dahan, he said and added that
to sympathise with Ravan for Lanka Dahan is like encouraging someone to
indulge in more crimes and continuing immoral activities, said the VHP
leader.
Dr Togadia appealed to the ruling
class to redeem itself by imposing a blanket ban on terrorist manufacturing
madrassas, run by the Tabliq Jamaat, Darul Ulum Devband, Ahal-e-Hadish
and Dawat-e-Islami. Let all political parties, whether Congress, NDA, or
CPM decide whether they are acessories to more Akshardham attacks or they
want to attack terrorism at the root, he warned. Reacting to the explanation
of Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra
Modi that forces demoralized by the success of the Assembly elections in
Jammu and Kashmir were responsible for the Akshar Dham attack, he demanded
immediate invasion and destruction of Pakistan. In his opinion failing
to declare war on Pakistan would only expose such explanations to public
ridicule. (FOC)
