Allowing to apply Tilak to his forehead made him a target of fundamentalists

When a Muslim Minister from Kerala applied Tilak,  he was denied entry in any Masjid.  According to the Hindu (4th January), when Mr Charakalam Abdullah, Minister for Local Administration had visited along with the CM Shri A. K. Antony had gone to Awala Math in Kasargod District, the priests there applied Tilak to Mr Antony and Charaklam Abdulla.  When it was shown on Doordarshan, the CM and the Local Administration Ministers both were seen with Tilaks on their foreheads.

Now, "Sunni Yuvajan Sangam" which is a branch of Indian Union Muslim League to which in fact Mr Abdullah belongs, declared that applying Tilak is anti-Islamic and issued Fatwa that Shri Charakalam should be allowed to enter any Masjid.  The scared Minister kept apologising for three days. After repenting deeply, he was forgiven. However, 'The Indian National League" which has separated from Indian Union Muslim Leave some years back, declared that it is anti-Islam to forgive so easily.  The President of Youth Branch of this League has asked the President of IUML to resign.
