Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is sniffing
the Christian Missionary hand in the recent flare ups in North Cachar Hills
and Cachar districts in Assam.
Quashing allegations of the Hmars
that the Dimasas, who are voicing their demand to curve out a separate
state (Dimaraji), have threatened the former to leave N.C. Hills, VHP's
pant seva pramukh Prakriti Ranjan Hazra told northeasttribune.com here
today that Christian Missionaries are supporting the Hmars to block the
growing powers of the Dimasas who are 99 per cent Hindus.
Christian Missionaries who have
their dominance in the States of Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya are now
trying to include the N.C. Hills into the Christian belt by fomenting ethnic
conflicts.
The town of Harangajao in N.C.Hills,
which is also a corridor for Mizoram and Nagaland to access Meghalaya,
was the epicenter of the recent clashes. Sources said that the conflict
was started when a group of Hmar miscreants attacked a Lord Shiva temple
in Harangajao and threw away a bell hanging inside the temple. The Christian
Hmars are first trying to dominate the town before spreading their tentacles
in other parts of the district.
Meanwhile, sources close to the
VHP's top leaders like Acharya Giriraj Kishore and Pravin Togadia informed
that the organization would soon table a detailed and "true report" with
the Union Home Ministry on the recent Hmar- Dimasa conflict.
