Appearing before the court of District and Sessions Judge on Saturday filmstar Noor blamed her parents for forcibly detaining her at home.

Sara Bokhari, who has film-name 'Noor', was brought from Darul Aman to the Court of Haji Muhammad Akram Baitu where a large number of people were already present to witness the proceedings.

Noor stated her parents Shahid Hussain Bokhari and Mumtaz Bokhari have been enjoying her earnings for 14 years. She said due to shortage of films her earning had decreased but her parents were forcing her to earn money by other means.

She stated on her refusal the parents detained her in the house and threatened to murder and disfigure her. Noor categorically stated she does not want to live with her parents. On the other hand, her parents submitted they did not detain Noor as the bailiff recovered her from the house which is the joint property of Noor and her mother Mumtaz, and when the bailiff came there, it was Noor who opened the door.

They pointed out Noor's statement was a 'concocted story' meant to get a licence from the court to proceed to Dubai where she had married a Hindu boy, Vikram, against the will of her parents.

Noor contradicted the statement and said she is a Muslim and cannot even think of marrying a non-Muslim.

It may be mentioned that, in pursuance of the court order, the bailiff, with the help of police, had recovered Noor from the detention of her parents and produced her before the court on Saturday. The court sent Noor to Darul Aman.
