I am very happy to send this report
of Vishwas Dharma Prasar Yatra - Fiji . This programme held at second biggest
city in Fiji -that is Lautoka. This city also called Sugar City .
All our Mahatmas arrived on 2 0ctober,
2003 from Sydney - Australia by Evening at Nadi Airport - Fiji about 100
people were there to receive at the Airport . There were Grand but
simple welcome ceremony at the Airport. About Fifty ladies of Gayatri
Parivaar in Bhagva Sari's and Other reception committee Members which
Includes- only Indian Origin Minister for Multi -Ethnic in Fiji Government
Mr.G.. Shiu Raj and Prof: I. S. Chauhan - High Commissioner Of Indian in
Fiji and other leading dignitaries with the full Police escort and Government
Protocol were there. Yatra dignitaries groups consisted Pujiya Jagadguru
Shankrachariyaji , Sadhvi- Ritambharaji ,Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji,
Budhist Sadhu Theroji - Shri Mohan Lalji Mittal , Sri Anup Jalota
, Ravi Kumar Ji , Anjaliben Pandya, Sri Mahesh Mahta Ji ,Shri BasantJi
Teriyal,N.K.Gupta and others. (Total 18)

programme were held

PARK- LAUTOKA Fiji ISLANDS
1) First Programme was for the Youth
taken by Pujya Shankarachariya Ji. High School students selected
from 5 schools were invited. About 1000 students from Lautoka attended
- this programme- for 2 hours . It was very inspirational and guiding for
Youths of Fiji which they never heard before from any Religious Leaders.
Many students expressed their Gratitude to the Pujya Shankracharyaji for
guiding and lighting the lamp in their life.
2. Second programme for the practicing
Pujari's were address by Swami Chidanand ji. In which Swamiji Clarified
the doublt of the Practicing Pujaris and guided them on Pooja vidhan
and responsibility of Pujari to preach Hinduism. This two hours programme
well attended by 100 Pujaris. It was a unique programme.Pujaris were telling
that they were never had this kind of the Guidance from anyone in past.
They left with good inspirational note.
3. Press Conference with media was
attended by the all Mahatma's and they explain to Media about the World
Peace Mission. All the Media people of Fiji attended and given the
wide coverage.
4. Evening Public Function - 5.30pm
- 9.30 pm. There was a Big mamoth Public function held at Churchill Park
-Lautoka. We all were very much doubtful about the Audience. As it was
a working day and that too weekend. We expected about total number 5000
but we couldn't believe 2.30 pm onwards Public started coming inside the
stadium. By 4.30 pm 3000 seats were filled By 5.30p.m. 7000 seats
were filled the stadium. Within no time flood of people came and sat in
the ground where ever they could sit. Iwas Jam Packed Estimates 15000 people
came to see the Mahatma's. All the news papers also confirm the same number.
As per schedule Programme went on so well ,it was unbelievable to
every body. Programme started on time 5.30 pm with impressive grand welcome
to dignitaries at the gate .Whole ground was well decorated , well sitting
arrangement , particularly Stage was so beautifully decorated by teachers
group .Light and Sound system were perfect with 20 x 20 two big Video screen
for perfect viewing of the large gathering was used First time In
Fiji. People were very disciplined and attentive for full 4 hours
programme. Programme went according to our planed schedule
time . All Speeches were so inspiring, particularly Sadhvi Ritambhraji's
speech touched the heart of the people. In between the speeches Bhajans
by Mr Anup Jalota made the environment very devotional and moved the people.
We introduce the song" Bacha Bacha
Ram Hai " Song by every body . For this function from whole Fiji Hindus
came in big numbers. Whole programme was broadcasted Live by FM 98 Radio
station for the benefit of whole Hindu community of Fiji. Well known announcer
of this Radio was Announcer for the Public function Programme. All
20 Hindu organisations whole heartily worked for this yatra
All Hindu from all walk of life,
educated , youths, elders Male , females , rich , poor attended in
a big number . Even Muslims and Christians appreciated the programme. In
the end Halwa and Prasaad - prepared by Sikh Gurudwara - were distributed
. Gurudwara told they never prepared such a large Prasaadam before any
time in Fiji .
Public Function - Chief Guest was
Shri Ratu Epeli Ganilau The Chairman of Great Council of Chiefs
( Is head of whole Fijian Zamindar Community). He is a very Broad minded
gentlemen, having wide exposer of Military services and well respected
here . He is a person to bridge the gap between Indian and
Fijian Community for Future Cordial Relationship. 0ther Eminent persons
were Fijian Supreme Court Judge Mr.Jone Mandraiwiwi also came and very
much impressed. Both have expressed that even though they know Indian
past many years but came to know the essences of Indian Culture
and Hinduism today form the Mahatma's.. They never heard these things
in their life time, and also inspired by well attended disciplined Hindu
public in Fiji . As per their opinion Hindus should preach this 'Vasudaiva
Kutumbakam ' to Fijian Community at grass root level and it
will resolve the racial problems of this country.
0n Oct. 4th -2 Programmes.
1 Programme for the Ladies were
addressed by Sadhvi Ritambhara Ji From 9 00 to 11.00 at Vishnu Temple
. Whole temple was Jam packed before the time with 300 hundred in number.
Speech by Sadhvi Ji about "Woman's place and role in society according
to Hinduism" was so good heart touching many ladies had tears in their
eyes. Everybody expressed that we never heard before like such a fired
speech. All are expecting e that Sadhvi Ji should come again for the Benefit
of Fiji Hindu Society.
2 At the same time in other place
at Kshtriya Hall Programme for leaders Hindu 0rganisation was kept.
Sri Shankarachariya Ji Chidanand Swamiji , and Budhist monk discussed
for two hours about what we work for the Hindu Dharma ? It was well
received by all the Hindu Organisations. This meeting Strengthen our effect
towards common Hindu Feeling & Unity among Hindu Organisation.
By noon 1 pm all dignitaries left
for New Zealand ( Auckland ) . Achievements and Impact of VISHWA DHARAM
PRASAAR YAATRA .
1 First time in Fiji History such
a big Hindu Congregation took
Place after 130 years . Total 600
cars and 40 buses were there
With 15000 people attend from whole
country.
2 First time all Hindu 0rganisations
came together & worked together
For the Success of Yaatra. This
never happen before.
3 First time Fijian Great Council
of Chiefs Chairman- Sri Ratu Epeli Ganilau -came as Chief Guest for such
a big Hindu Congregation.
4 First time such a Hindu Congregation
live broadcasted in Radio to benefit for all the Hindus in Fiji. By Fiji
Broadcasting Corporation Ltd.
5 Whole programmes was recorded
on video. After the programme
One professor offered a big donation
(Gupta dan) to Retelecast on Fiji One T.V. ( only T.V.channel ) every Sunday
half an hour for 8 weeks completing Whole Dhrama Prasar Yatra Programme.
It happend first time too.
6 Yatra's Programme.
was announced on Radio Regularly ,News paper advertisement given - 20000Printed
Phamplet distributed plus 1000 invitation for this purpose.
7 First time all Hindus "feeling
and thinking as a Hindus" Generated By this Yatra programme
8 Many Hindu 0rganisation's Leaders
understanding and contact between
them improved after this programme
.
9 All organisations appreciated
our aims and objectives , recognized our working system .We are having
very good cordial working relationship with all Hindus 0rganisers . Few
are very close to us .
10 We could mobilize about 300
people as a work force This Yatra work. We have to go a long
way to strength our Hindus in Fiji.
