In a gruesome incident, militants
beheaded two sons of a retired Army officer in Baramulla district of north
Kashmir Thursday, official sources said.
Unidentified ultras raided the house
of the retired Army captain Ghulam Mohammad Khan at Chak-e-Arsalan Khan
in Bandipora area and dragged out his two sons Manzoor Ahmad Khan and Riyaz
Ahma Khan.
Both the brothers were then beheaded
by militants who suspected them of being informers of security forces,
the sources said.
In a separate incident, militants
raided Banderpora village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir Wednesday
night and shot at and injured five persons for casting their votes in the
recently held Parliamentary elections.
The victims identified as Mushtaq
Ahmad Band, Mohammad Shaban Pader, Mohammad Amin Dar, Ghulam Qadir Padroo
and Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh have been hospitalised.
