The Vishwa Hindu Parishad would
soon launch a "movement" across the country against the Andhra Pradesh
Government's decision to give five per cent reservation to Muslims in education
and jobs.
VHP apprehends that the move by
the Congress Government in the state was a "precursor" to a similar plan
across the country, the Parishad sources said in New Delhi on Thursday.
Through the "movement", the Sangh
Parivar outfit would involve lakhs of cadres of its youth wing Bajrang
Dal to mobilise support among the majority community against the decision,
the sources said.
Earlier VHP firebrand General Secretary
Pravin Togadia and RSS Spokesman Ram Madhav had slammed the Andhra Pradesh
Government for its decision, saying it was "violative of both the Constitution
and the Supreme Court's cap of 50 per cent reservation".
