The remaining Governors with an
RSS "taint" may soon be on their way out. The UPA government has decided
to weed out the remaining "hardline" Governors soon after Parliament's
Budget session is over, sources said. "The removal process will be initiated
soon after the Budget session as the government doesn't want any other
problem in the remaining few days of the session," said a senior Congress
leader.
There are three Governors with an
RSS background who may lose their jobs. "Mr Rama Jois, Mr Madan Lal Khurana
and Mr Sudershan Aggarwal, Governors of Bihar, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal
are on the priority list for removal from office," the senior party functionary
added.
The Manmohan Singh government has
been under immense pressure from senior Congress leaders as well as Left
parties to remove all Governors with an RSS background, the Congress leader
said.
