An unauthorized construction of a mosque in
Turbhe has been granted support by a local councilor of NCP. Municipal area
officials are not taking any action against the structure due to political
pressure.
Shri. Vivek Patil, NCP councilor submitted a letter to the police that as
per the demand of 'Mohammadia Charitable Trust', Muslims can read 'namaz'
by joining room numbers 48, 49 and 60 in a building constructed by CIDCO and
NCP would not have any objection to it. For the past 2 years, Muslims have
been illegally using these rooms for reading 'namaz', running mardarassas
etc. without taking permission of the municipality. Owing to the fear of local
councilors, people were afraid to say anything against such things. Earlier,
about 10-11 Muslims used to go there to read 'namaz' but now the number has
gone up to 100. Locals from the area, therefore, are afraid of such happenings
and have now started objecting. Officials of the above trust, therefore, went
to Shri. Vivek Patil for help. Shri. Patil, however, directly gave a letter
to the police that permission of local citizens was obtained for Muslims to
read 'namaz'. Prior permission is required to be taken in case any structural
changes are to be carried out in the rooms constructed by CIDCO. Besides,
CIDCO has also reserved plots of land for worship places of different religions.
But Muslims have constructed unauthorized mosques and madarassas in many areas
in whole Navi Mumbai, especially in old localities and even areas developed
by CIDCO. Local police and municipal administration have been deliberately
turning a blind eye to such encroachment.
(All political parties along with NCP are
believers in secularism that means pro-Muslim policies. The municipal administration
is also trained under them. One need not be surprised if this country is taken
over by Muslims in future. Hindus must brace themselves to drive away such
