Most-wanted terrorist Abu Hamza, believed
to have been detained by Bangladesh police, was not only a part of the terror
module targeting Hyderabad, but also involved in destabilising operations
in Tripura, according to reliable sources.
Trained by Al-Qaida in making chemical bombs,
Hamza has close links with a section of officials of the Bangladeshi Rifles.
While Bilal was shuttling between Bangladesh
and West Asia, Hamza remained in Bangla territory.
An arrested police decoy, Abdul Sattar, who
was double-crossing, confessed to these facts before interrogators recently
and also provided leads during his narco-analysis test held at the Bangalore
Forensic Laboratory.
Hamza has perfected the art of preparing bombs
with Black Azide (blasting cap) that were used in the 7/11 Mumbai serial train
blasts, police sources say.
They are also convinced that Hamza was staying
in Rajshahi district of Bangladesh, along with his aides Nafeez, a Bangladeshi
national, and Azhar, a Hyderabadi, till the Mecca Masjid blasts in May 2007.
More importantly, Hamza apparently has good
rapport with the retired BDR personnel and he had been helping them in supplying
arms to the banned Tripura Liberation Army, sources say.
Investigators tracking Hamza also have figured
out that he left Rajshahi 10 days before the Mecca Masjid blast but returned
there four days before the incident. Soon after the blast at Hyderabad, Hamza
changed his SIM Card No 880-1726155232.
Apart from this, his henchmen Khader alias
Shafi of Moosarambagh also changed his SIM No 880-1914957731 to 880-1911642292,
the sources said, adding that Hamza distributed ice cream to his aides after
the Mecca Masjid blast.
