A senior DMK minister in Tamil Nadu on Monday
offered prayers at the famous Sri Ramanathaswamy temple.
The visit of Information Minister Parithi
Ilamvazhuthi to the temple evoked media interest as it was by a top minister
and senior party functionary of DMK.
The Minister, who had come with his family
members, stayed in a private lodge here and worshipped the main deity Ramanathaswamy
and Goddess Parvathavardhini in the morning, sources said.
He also visited the Sri Sankara Mutt where
he offered poojas to his forefathers, temple officials said.
Ilamvazhuthi also took a holy dip at the "Agni
Theertham" to pay homage to his ancestors, they said.
