"The schemes for all round development
implemented by Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat have been a subject
of curiosity for the entire country. In the National Conference of CII organized
at New Delhi, he presented his new concept of 'Rurban'. It is definitely worth
emulating by all other states in India, including Maharashtra."
Perhaps, readers will think that the heading
of this article is misspelt, but it is not so. The heading is accurate. This
is a new word presented by Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra who is always
obsessed with finding new things. Recently, in the National Conference of
Confederation of Indian Industries, Modi presented this word this in reference
to the all round development of India. He has made this word by uniting the
English words, "Rural" and "Urban". Rural means village
and Urban means Cities. In India in villages, there is an extreme dearth of
the facilities of education, hygiene, communication and finance that are available
in cities. According to Modi, if these facilities are made available in villages,
the life of people in villages will be not only prosperous, but it will transform
the entire nature of India. The hordes from villages coming to cities due
to the attraction of facilities there will be stopped and the pressure exerted
on the fundamental facilities of the cities will be reduced.
Many people in the audience felt this idea
of Narendra Modi transforming the structure of India and the reassuring progress
being done by him in that direction not only praiseworthy, but worth emulating.
In this conference only, Narendra Modi gave emphasis on everybody trying to
create wealth for everybody. He assured that instead of a few people creating
wealth for a few people only or majority of people creating wealth for a few
people, if all people create wealth for all, the economic gap would definitely
be narrowed.. He gave detailed information about the efforts being made in
this direction in Gujarat.
Gujarat is in forefront not only in industrial
sp0here, but it has achieved stunning progress in agricultural sphere. He
also told that the Development rate of agriculture in India is hardly 4 %,
but that in Gujarat is 12%. Five years back, Gujarat was producing 23 lakh
packs of cotton. Now this figure has gone to 1,25,00,000 per year.
In Education sphere also, Gujarat has done
amazing progress. In primary schools, on one hand, the enrolment
is nearly 100 % and on the other hand, the drops have come down to only paltry
3%. Soon, in this state, a scheme of establishing a "University of Children"
will be implemented. Gujarat will be the first state launching such a university
in India. In this state, a determined effort is being made to create scientific
attitude among students on all levels and also it should be maintained growing.
Gujarat is in the forefront among all states
in creating Special Economic Zones (SEZs). He also stated that only Gujarat
administration has acquired lands for these zones without any disputes.
Political stability is inevitable for economic
development. Because there is a conviction that the political stability in
Gujarat will last for a long time, the financial investment in the state is
constantly growing. He also confidently told that he was the longest survived
Chief Minister of Gujarat and he would definitely complete his term. He guaranteed
that Gujarat is the front line state, which is development-oriented and has
constant obsession is its inspiration. He also pointed out to the audience
that this state, which was a 'ship-breaking' state, is now on the forefront
in 'Ship-building' and it is now creating maximum employment on an even key
constantly.
He also made an appeal to the audience that
all Chief Ministers should exchange concepts of development in their states,
and prepare plans for taking our country to prosperity and should seriously
consider how they can be implemented.
