The ATS may have accused sadhvi Pragya Singh
Thakur of engineering the Malegaon blast, but she has thousands of well-wishers
on social networking sites. These supporters justify her act in no uncertain
terms.
A user on one of the social networking sites
described the sadhvi as an "idol Hindu woman". "Sadhvi Pragya,
Singh Thakur, also known as Purnachetanananda Giri, is a 38-year-old Hindu
activist deceptively jailed for so-called bombings. She is not by any means
involved in such inhumane acts. In reality, she is an idol Hindu woman,''
the user said. It also extended help to sadhvi saying, "We are with you,
Pragya.''
The user has 146 friends on his list as well
as 222 communities. These include "Karachi Hindus", "No more
communism", "Jai Hanuman", "Hindus of Pakistan",
"Vishwa Hindu Parishad", "Veer Savarkar", "Indian
Army", "BJP supporters' group", "Kashmiri Pandits",
"Shri Nathuram Godse", "Bajrang Dal" and "Rashtriya
Swayamsevak Sangh" (with over 40,000 members).
Another community, "Sadhvi Pragya Singh
Thakur'', has 298 members. It says, "Her teachings and views are of modern
Hindu approach.'' The community members have flooded the message box with
opinions and voices of support. Most of the users have supported her act.
One user wrote, "She has been implicated
in a false conspiracy by Congress and pseudo-secular parties to appease Muslims
and gain vote bank. Hindu saints are being targeted by politicians.'' The
other communities of this user include those pertaining to Narendra Modi,
Yogi Adityanath and Hinduism.
Pragya was arrested on October 23 by the ATS
in connection with the Malegaon bomb blast. The police have also retrieved
Pragya's "400-minute conversation" with a wanted accused, Ramji
Kalangasara, wherein the sadhvi has been heard saying how "just a few
persons were killed" in the blast.
The sadhvi's motorcycle was used to plant
the bomb and its chassis number led the police to arrest her, the cops had
claimed.
