Baba Ramdev is set to sit on indefinite Fast
in Delhi's Ramleela Ground . Entire country, eager to see corruption wiped
out, is now standing in support of Baba Ramdev.
The media, however, is trying to play dowm
Baba's popularity as much as possible. Various media organisations are twisting
news reports & presenting the developements in a manner, which shows clear
bias against Baba Ramdev. The section of media is hell-bent to discredit,
downplay Baba Ramdev's Anti corruptiopn movement & to smirch him.
Marathi daily Loksatta, standing true to it's
recent anti Hindu tradition,has lablled Baba Ramdev's fast as "five star"
! Loksatta presented the news on front page as four column banner, blending
cleverly editorial (read Congress) views with the news,instead of presenting
the facts about the preperations for the fast. The Head line itself calls
(Baba's fivestar fast).
Inerestingly the rival Marathi daily Maharastra
Times has presented the news with the same details & with same Headline
Not only print media, but electronic media
too followed the cue. While The Times of India tried to steer clear of controversies,
it's sibling in electronic media Times Now tried to down play the movement
by lablling it as "Competitive Fast" vis a vis Anna Hazare's fast
!
These are mere examples. The similarities
show that someone specifically is passing clear instructions to the media
& the media persons are following the instruction blindly & enthusiastically
& willingly. When the entire country is standing in support of Baba Ramdev,
the section of media is clearly upset. In turn, this section is now openly
trying to upset the anti corruption movement of Baba Ramdev by calling names.
How otherwise can anyone explain the twisted "news" items presented
by these media sections?
Film Artists Shaharukh Khan & Salman Khan
have advised Baba to cling only to his Yoga & not to interfere in other
matters of the country. He is not alone. It is interesting to see the persons
who supported the Anna Hazare "Crusade" against corruption,are opposing
Baba Ramdev's fast. The secular bandwagon is clearly uneasy. The mentality
of these people is such that they feel that no one else has any right to talk
about the matters concerning the country. This is typical pseudo-secularist
approach, the neo-aparthide.
Let us watch how the people of India counter
the negative propoganda.
