Praising the work done by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Congress MLA Aditi Singh has requested Yogi Adityanath to appoint 'honest officers' in Raebareli, her constituency.

Addressing a press conference at the Lucknow Press Club on Wednesday, Aditi Singh, who won with a margin of more than 90,000 votes, said her constituency needs officers who think along the lines of development, just like the CM.

"I support the CM's working style. The way he is conducting surprise checksacross departments is commendable. These checks will ensure that all authorities work to their maximum capability. I would like to invite him to my constituency, and also request him to send honest and hardworking officers, who believe in the development agenda as propagated by the ruling party," said Singh, daughter of Akhilesh Singh, a five-time MLA from Raebareli.

Adding that it was the responsibility of the opposition to make those in power 'better', Singh said it was important to laud the good work done for the public by any authority.

"The opposition works to remind the public that those in power are for the betterment of people. Unnecessary opposition of good work done by the ruling government will lead us nowhere. I am here to work for the public and not create unnecessary trouble," Singh said.

"The government's promise to provide electricity to the urban and rural areas has been a dream for me too. At the same time, I would also request people to pay their electricity bills on time and also let authorities know if electricity is being stolen," she said. Demanding the government to increase the number of tube-wells in rural areas, Singh added that it was imperative to help farmers on that regard to make it easier for irrigation.
