While the killing of Abu Dujana has ensured that the security forces have one less headache to deal with, it is also a fact that the women of Kashmir too are safe now. Many locals had complained that Dujana, the commander of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba had been troublesome for the women in the Valley, especially in Pulwama.

He was married to a woman from Singoo village in Pulwama in 2016. However complaints about him harassing women had reached the police several times. The police hinted that the Dujana used to harass women in the village.

The Army however said that he was less into militancy and more into 'aiyaashi' or debauchery. During an interaction with reporters, the GOC of the 15 Corps, Lt. General J Sandhu said he was was less of a militant. He was not really involved in many attacks, vo yahan aiyyashi kar raha tha bas, was a nuisance," the army official said.

The IGP of Kashmir, Muneer Khan said, "I want to tell woman and girls in the valley that they are safe now.
