Thiruvananthapuram: Devaswom Board President A Padmakumar said that the government would not interfere in the religious activities conducted in the Sabarimala Ayyapa temple.
Padmakumar explained that the temple activities are decided by the Devaswom board. No one from outside will be allowed to interfere.
The activities starting from the nada opening in the morning to the closing of the nada after ‘Harivarasanam’ will be managed by the Devaswom board. The temples function as per religious customs (Padithala Vyavastha), he added.
It would not be right to completely avoid the government’s interference in the temple activities. The government has taken proper actions before in many cases when the situation demanded. The construction activities at Sabarimala are progressing well, he said. |
