#Thread on how different musIim countries have banned hijab and veils when our Supreme Court says "Hijab may promote diversity."

1. Egypt

Banned Niqab in Cairo Uni. and their court upheld the decision. One of their MPs also brought a bill to ban niqab in in Nov 2021.

2. Syria

Syria banned Niqab from Universities as it poses a threat to their secular identity.

3. Indonesia

Banned Hijab in school after a Christian girl complained of being pressurized to cover her head.

4. Iraq

Banned face covering and head scarf fearing ISIS will use it for attacks.

5. Algeria

Banned women working in the public sector from wearing full-face veils.

6. Kazakhstan

Children in Hijabs are barred from schools.

 
               
7. Tunisia

Bans face covering in government buildings after a spate of terrorist attacks.
 

8. Morocco

Morocco banned production and sale of burka in 2017.

9. Uzbekistan

Banned sale of IsImaic clothing in Tashkent market.

10. Jordan

Rania, The Queen of Jordan herself doesn't wear any face covering and clearly says that religion does not demand any veil.

11. Tajikistan

Passed a new law to stop women wearing Hijabs due to security reasons.

12. Iran

Women are protesting against Hijab, burning them and cutting their hair to get freedom from the slavery of IsIamic clothing and morality police.
